Your Home Windows & the Fickle Albuquerque Weather
Albuquerque is in the northern tip of the Chihuahuan Desert so we can expect hot climates that could even reach the 100s during summers. But it looks like hot weather is not the only thing to fret about because, especially on the latter days of the New Mexican summer, thunderstorms in the area are a common occurrence. Similar to what we have been experiencing lately, residents would have to put up with strong rains, as krque.com reports:
A strong cold front rolling into the east side of the state will work its way in the metro area tonight. Look for east winds will top out around 40 miles an hour with the possibility of some isolated thunderstorms. The big impact of the front will actually be felt tomorrow when we get a better chance of widespread storms.
The front will do a good job of drawing moisture back in across the state as a whole so look for storms to be much easier to come by Thursday and Friday.
As we head into the weekend a chance for storms continues and in fact, August will get off to a great start with above-average precip throughout the next seven days.
Unpredictable Albuquerquean weather patterns prompt residents turn to their coolers and heaters to try and beat the interspersing heat and the cold. It follows that residents have to expend a good amount for their cooling and heating bills.
